Did you know that there are 365 days in a year? But sometimes we get an extra day on the calendar. Although specific rules apply for every 100 years, the extra day we receive is on February 29TH. We call this a "Leap Year." Every 4 years, we get an additional day, making it 366 days in that year. Why, you ask? It's because our calendars are supposed to match the length of time it takes, for Earth to orbit around the sun. Which is known as the "Solar Year."
